Another Powerball drawing has passed without a winner of the more than $1 billion jackpot. Wednesday night’s drawing for $1.09 billion yielded no grand prize winner, making it the game’s fourth-largest drawing of all time and the eighth-largest lottery prize in the U.S. This marks one of the longest streaks without a jackpot winner, according to powerball.com. The last jackpot was claimed on New Year’s Day in Michigan.
Here are the winning numbers for the Wednesday, April 3 drawing:
- 11, 38, 41, 62, 65
- Powerball: 15
- Power Play: 3X
Although no one hit the jackpot, nine tickets matched all five white balls, winning $1 million each. The winning tickets were sold in California (2), Georgia, Massachusetts (2), Maryland, New Jersey, South Carolina, and Washington.
The next Powerball drawing is scheduled for Saturday, April 6. Drawings occur three times per week, every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday, at around 10:59 p.m. ET.
The estimated jackpot for Saturday’s drawing is $1.23 billion, with a cash option of $595.1 million.
The odds of winning any prize in Powerball are 1 in 24.9, while the odds of hitting the jackpot are 1 in 292.2 million.
The last Powerball jackpot exceeding $1 billion was won on Oct. 11, 2023, with the winning ticket sold in California, resulting in a prize of $1.765 billion.
A single Powerball ticket costs $2, with an additional $1 for the Power Play option, offering a chance to multiply all winnings except for the jackpot. Players can also add the Double Play for an extra $1 to double their chance of winning $10 million.
The biggest Powerball jackpot in history remains the $1.765 billion prize won on Oct. 11, 2023.
